KU Innovation and Collaboration is now accepting nominations for the Baxendale Innovation Award, which recognizes a faculty member or group of faculty members who have developed a new research method, technology or innovative service that has had significant commercial impact.

Join us at the presentation ceremony October 20th, 2016

Nominations to the Baxendale Innovation Award are now closed. The award will be given during the inventors networking reception following the Celebration of Innovation - Startup Showcase on October 20, 2016.

Nomination Criteria

The goal of the award is to recognize those who are successfully translating their KU research to the marketplace while also making a difference on both a local and global scale.

The work of the researcher(s) should exemplify the process of accelerating ideas, insights and technologies from the University of Kansas research enterprise out of the university setting via industry partnerships, start-up companies, or other commercial routes.

Examples of such innovations might include technologies that have achieved major milestones through partnerships with industry, those that have resulted in successful start-up companies, or technologies that are on the path to successful licenses with existing companies.
