LAWRENCE, KS. –Dr. Val Stella, a University Distinguished Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Kansas, developed a new chemical agent in his lab, Captisol®, that enhances significantly the solubility, stability, and dosing of injected medical compounds. The research that enabled this discovery was funded initially in part by the National Institutes of Health.
